Fidesz Leads in Polls as Hungary Faces Three-Party Parliament Scenario

by admin477351

If parliamentary elections were held in Hungary this Sunday, the country would see a three-party parliament, with Fidesz maintaining its position as the leading political force. According to the latest Real-PR 93 survey, Fidesz has widened its lead over the main opposition, the Tisza Party, as support for Tisza has declined since the summer.
The survey shows Fidesz–KDNP holding 47% of the guaranteed vote, bolstered by an increased digital presence and strong voter engagement. In contrast, the Tisza Party, led by Péter Magyar, has dropped to 40%, with its recent summer campaign failing to deliver the expected boost in popularity.
The poll, based on telephone interviews with 1,000 participants, indicates that three parties would surpass the parliamentary threshold: Fidesz–KDNP, Tisza, and Mi Hazánk Mozgalom (Our Homeland Movement), which sits at 5%. Meanwhile, the Democratic Coalition and the Hungarian Two-Tailed Dog Party, with 4% and 3% respectively, would fall short of entering parliament.
These results reflect a slight shift since July, when Fidesz also led with 47%, while Tisza had a stronger showing at 42%, making it the only opposition party clearly above the threshold at that time.
